Webserver

Service Options UPNP.png

Do NOT use IP(s)

The webserver per default listens to connections on all available network interfaces (i.e. network cards). If for some reasons (like security in public networks) you do NOT want the webserver to listen on a specific network interface you can input its IP in this field and the webserver will not open a port on that interface. You can input more than one IP by seperating them with a ";".

Port

The network port the Webserver is listening to. You have to make sure this port is not used by any other TCP based server (the standalone DVBServer of the DVBViewer Pro etc.).

Please note: This port must differ from the Streamserver and UPnP server port!

Block Standby/Hibernate...

This option blocks Standby/Hibernate by resetting the Idle Timer of Windows, every time the webserver transmits data. This can be useful because the Web server is also responsible for streaming media files to UPnP clients and the iPhone/IPad and for LiveTV streaming to the iPhone/iPad. Otherwise the PC would go into hibernation in the middle of streaming.

But there also some tools which use the webinterface to determinate if the PC can go into hibernation. This option would prevent that.

Streamserver

The integrated stream server provides LiveTV Streaming services for UPnP, Popcorn Hour and the streaming in the Webinterface. It uses the Webserver "Do NOT use IP" list.

Port

The network port the streaming server is listening to. You have to make sure this port is not used by any other TCP based server (the standalone DVBServer of the DVBViewer Pro etc.).

Please note: This port must differ from the webserver and UPnP server port!

UPnP AV Server

Enable UPnP AV Server

Enables the DVBViewer Recording Service UPnP AV Server.

Please note: The UPnP AV Server uses additionally the UDP Multicast address 239.255.255.250 Port 1900. You may have to setup your firewall accordingly.

Do NOT use IP(s)

Here you can control which network interface will be NOT used by the UPnP. Simplified a Network interface means a network card. You can input more than one IP by seperating them with a ";".

Port

The network port the UPnP server is listening to. You have to make sure this port is not used by any other TCP based server (the standalone DVBServer of the DVBViewer Pro etc.).

Please note: This port must differ from the webserver and streaming server port!

Streams to send

All Audiotracks

All Audio tracks of a channel are streamed.

DVBSubtitles

DVBSubtitles are automatically detected in the DVB Data stream and streamed into the network.

Teletext

Teletext are automatically detected in the DVB Data stream and streamed into the network.

Debug UPnP

This option is only for debug purposes to find bugs or to examine new UPnP clients. Please do not activate this unless you are told so. It does put a lot of strain on the system and can disrupt the working of the whole Recording Service.

Use alternate…

If a UPnP client doesn't work with the default setting, you could try to enable this option, which does handle the UPnP Handshake a little (non conform) different (Buffalo link theater does need this).

Enable Popcorn Hour support

Enables the Popcorn Hour support.

Block Standby/Hibernate...

This option blocks Standby/Hibernate by resetting the Idle Timer of Windows every time the UPnP webserver transmits data. The UPnP webserver is main part of the UPnP data handling but has nothing to do with media streaming (!). In some special cases it is useful this webserver can keep windows awake.

Normally this option should stay deactivated, because some UPnP clients aks periodically for data and would prevent the PC from hibernating.

Videobuffer for file streaming

This option should NOT be changed without being told to do so. It is for debugging and error finding only.
